DFDS Seaways operates 5 passenger ships covering the UK, Denmark, Holland & Norway. From the UK, the company sails from Newcastle to Amsterdam and Harwich to Denmark. There are no baggage restrictions so you can fill your car up with supplies if you don't want to fork out for the restaurants on board. Megabus offer low cost bus and train (megatrain) tickets throughout the UK, with routes ranging from Aberdeen to London to Birmingham to Bath. They currently carry over 2 million passengers a year! P & O operate four main routes: Dover to Calais, Hull to Zeebrugge/ Rotterdam and Portsmouth to Bilbao. You can travel to Calais as a foot passenger from just £4 each way or for £25 with a car (including up to 9 passengers!). At these prices we think you'd be mad to even consider flying ryanair. Check out their minicruises- for just £72 you could get a 3-night minicruise to Bilbao from Portsmouth!

Stena Line is the biggest ferry operator in Europe, offering the largest fleet as well as the widest selection of routes and destinations. Stena Line operates a clear and simple choice of fare types: Economy, Flexi and Premium. For the lowest fare choose economy (as long as your travel plans are fixed and unlikely to change). If you're free like the wind choose a Flexi fare. But don't go overboard! Premium just gives customers access to the Stena Plus lounge and express boarding and disembarkation.
